What do I need in a garden office?

When designing your garden room as an office, here are a few points to keep in mind;

Layout – offices are quite different from a chillout space or gym. It is important to plan where you will put your desk, and any other furniture, before going ahead with the building. That way we can tailor everything to fit just right.

Glazing – typically a garden office will have less glazing than an ordinary garden room, to give more privacy and a better working environment. Its good to have opening windows above desk height around your work area, and easy French doors rather than a heavy bifold.

Electrics – plenty of sockets and plenty of good lighting!

Ethernet – install a cat6 cable or LAN port for good connectivity.

Temperature control – either a wall mounted heater or air conditioning unit is a must.
